SCOTT ELROD (Cory Brand) was born in Bitburg, Germany. Raised in an American military family, he spent time in the Philippines and other locations before his family settled in Colorado. As a boy, he dreamed of becoming an F-16 pilot like his father. Seeing Tom Cruise's performance in TOP GUN made him even more determined to achieve his dream... and it planted an acting bug that would resurface years later.
After graduating from Metro State College, Elrod attained his pilot license and spent six years in the Air Force as an air traffic controller. He then transitioned into the corporate world and found success in marketing and technology. But despite his thriving career, he couldn't erase the memory of Tom Cruise's performance in TOP GUN. He relocated to Los Angeles in 2004 and began taking acting classes six days a week until his hard work paid off -- first with small parts on series including CSI: New York and Days of our Lives, then with his breakout role as Leonard "Cash" Morrissey in the ABC series Men in Trees.
Elrod has since appeared in numerous television films, series and feature films. In addition to HOME RUN, he recently filmed the political drama ARGO starring Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, Alan Arkin and Scoot McNairy.
