DREW WATERS(Red at 30) Born in Akron, Ohio, Drew Waters and his family moved to Orange, Texas where he and his older brother grew up working on diesels in his dad's mechanic shop. This is where Drew found his hobby and love for rebuilding cars. Giving up a scholarship at Rice University in Track & Field, he decided to join the Navy where he served four years. He made rank quickly and was responsible for more than 85 F/A-14 fighters.
Towards the end of his career in the military, Drew was discovered by a modeling scout and entered into a modeling contest with 3,500 entrants, and won. He was then signed by a top modeling agency that launched his career. After his enlistment ended, Drew began a career as an international print model working on ad campaigns for designers like Ralph Lauren, Prada, Structure, Versace, Chaps, Hugo Boss, Guess, and Abercrombie and Fitch.
He had eight successful years of modeling on the globe's top runways landing covers and ads in GQ, Vogue, Esquire, Men's Fitness, and Men's Journal, amongst others. World-renowned photographer Bruce Weber suggested Drew try his hand at acting as he saw something special in him. Since Drew's dream was always to act, he began taking classes and workshops to master his acting skills. Since, he has booked dozens of projects in television and film.
Drew is most recognized for his three-year recurring role as Coach Wade Aikman on the Emmy-Award-winning hit series Friday Night Lights on NBC. He has also recently had multiple guest-lead roles in many popular network shows such as: Chase (NBC), Victorious (Nickelodeon), Breaking Bad (AMC), Breakout Kings (TNT), The Lying Game (ABC), as well as many others. His most recent films include a supporting lead role in Cowgirls & Angels opposite Bailee Madison where he played her father. Drew also recently had starring roles in Breaking The Press as Joe Conaghey, Hit List opposite Cuba Gooding Jr., Mad Money starring Katie Holmes and Diane Keaton, Legend Of Hells Gate opposite Jenna Dewan, and Wonderful World with Matthew Broderick.
Drew is not just limiting himself to being an actor. He has many other aspirations as an entrepreneur. Some of his past businesses consist of: owner operating retail businesses, rebuilding classic cars and motorcycles, owner operating a commercial/residential construction company designing and building peoples' dream homes, and is now on top of acting, producing/directing, and has his own production company called K.A.P. Productions which has a handful of projects currently in pre-production. Drew's biggest joy is to continue expanding a career he loves and to encourage his daughters Ella and Presley to chase their dreams as well.
