Bio For: Ryan Guzman
(The Latest Available Bio)

RYAN GUZMAN (Sean) is a former MMA fighter who caught the notice of Hollywood. Most recently he appeared in There's Always Woodstock, directed by Rita Merson. Guzman will soon be seen in the Rob Cohen-directed, Jason Blum-produced film The Boy Next Door. He plays the male lead opposite Jennifer Lopez. Following that is Jem and the Holograms, a live-action remake of the iconic '80s cartoon. Guzman will play male lead Rio Racheco, road manager and love interest for Jem. The film will be directed by Jon M. Chu and is now in production.

Born in Texas and raised in Sacramento, at 7 years old Ryan developed an interest in martial arts and earned his first black belt in Taekwondo by the age of 10. This later led him into the octagon as an MMA fighter, until his fighting license expired in 2010.

Guzman began his modeling career at the age of 18 when he moved to San Francisco. He starred in television commercials for Old Navy, Gillette, Candies and the OWN Network and modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch, Affliction and Reebok, among others.

After achieving success, Guzman moved away from the modeling world and signed on with a talent manager and began the audition process as a professional actor. Just a few short months later, he had booked the male lead in Step Up Revolution. He has been consistently working since.

Television credits include the ABC Family show "Pretty Little Liars," where he plays Aria's love interest, Jake, and has since remained a hot topic among many of the show's diehard fans.
