MISHA GABRIEL (Eddy) has performed in numerous national
commercials and appeared in feature films such as Jackass 2, Clerks 2, Center
Stage 2, Footloose (2011) and The Muppets Movie. He had the honor of being hired
to dance for Michael Jackson on the 2009 "This Is It" tour and can be seen in
the documentary chronicling rehearsals leading up to Jackson's passing. He made
the transition into feature films as a star of the fourth film in the Step Up
franchise, Step Up Revolution, which was released in 2012.
Born in 1987, Gabriel began dancing at the early age of 2. Trained by his
mother, the famed ballet dancer Irina Brecher, Gabriel very quickly built and
developed a skill level that put him at the top of the competitive ranks for his
age group. As he grew into his teen years, he began to explore various other
styles of dance including hip-hop. Before long he had become a hot commodity and
household name within the dance world. At age 17 his first professional
opportunity came as a dancer on Aaron Carter's tour. Since then he has danced
for numerous A-list musicians and performers, including Janet Jackson, Mariah
Carey, Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, The Pussycat Dolls,
Hilary Duff, John Legend, Kylie Minogue, Christina Milian and Omarion.
As he grew in experience and renown, Gabriel began to work in the world of
choreographing for artists and shows such as Justin Timberlake, The Pussycat
Dolls, The Cheetah
Girls, Raven-Symone, Cheryl Cole, Ne-Yo, Janet Jackson, The MTV Video Music
Awards (a tribute to Michael Jackson) and "Dancing with the Stars."
