IZABELLA MIKO (Alexxa Brava) recently starred in Make Your
Move, a dance film shot in 3-D starring Derek Hough and pop sensation Boa.
Currently, she can be seen starring in "Starving in Suburbia" on Lifetime.
In addition to her acting work, Miko is a successful producer. She received
executive produced credit on Yellow, the Nick Cassavetes drama starring Sienna
Miller, Melanie Griffith and Ray Liotta. The film premiered at the Toronto Film
Festival. Miko is currently producing Desert Dancer, starring Freida Pinto,
which will be released in theaters in the beginning of 2015 by Relativity Media.
Miko was born in Communist Poland and could dance before she could walk. At
the age of 15, Miko was recruited to study on full scholarship at the School of
American Ballet in New York City, where she moved on her own. After three years,
a back injury forced her to pursue another dream. Before long Miko found that
acting filled the same spot in her heart as dancing. After her first audition,
she landed a much sought-after role in Jerry Bruckheimer's Coyote Ugly. Miko's
role in the film put her on the fast track in Hollywood, as well as on a slew of
magazine covers and billboards.
She followed her debut with numerous roles, often showing off her dancing
skills in films such as Save the Last Dance 2 and Dark Streets. Her aerial arts
skills were showcased in Bye Bye Blackbird and the NBC superhero series "The
Cape." Miko was also seen in the award-winning music videos "Mr. Brightside" and
"Miss Atomic Bomb," by The Killers in which she played the love interest
opposite Brandon Flowers.
Miko played a recurring role on HBO's Emmy-nominated series "Deadwood" and
appeared in the quirky comedy Flakes, with Zooey Deschanel. In 2009 she landed
the role of the goddess Athena in Clash of the Titans and starred opposite Val
Kilmer in Double Identity the following year. In 2011 she played a Norwegian
resistance fighter in Age of Heroes, starring opposite Sean Bean, and worked
alongside Sienna Miller, Danny Huston and Billy Zane in Two Jacks.
