OAKES FEGLEY (Young Theo) next stars in the independent
dramatic adventure "When
the Moon Was Twice as Big," due out this October. He will also star in the
independent drama "Who Framed Tommy Callahan."
In 2017, Fegley starred as Ben in "Wonderstruck" for director Todd Haynes,
Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams and Millicent Simmonds. Based on the novel by
Selznick, the mystery drama follows a deaf boy (Fegley) in 1977 and a deaf girl
1927 on their quests to find their respective parents. The film premiered at the
2017 Cannes Film
The previous year, Fegley starred in David Lowery's "Pete's Dragon," a
the 1977 film of the same name. The fantasy comedy-drama film follows the
adventures of an
orphaned boy named Pete, played by Fegley, and his best friend Elliot, a dragon.
In 2014, Fegley made his feature film debut as Paul Swann in the military drama
Bliss," for director Claudia Myers. The film also stars Michelle Monaghan, Ron
Schreiber, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Dash Mihok.
Fegley's additional film credits include Cal Robertson's "Prism," Shawn
Levy's "This Is
Where I Leave You," Phil Allocco's "The Truth About Lies," and, most recently,
comedy "The War with Grandpa," in which he starred opposite Robert De Niro.
On television, Fegley had a recurring role as Young Eli Thompson, Nucky's little
on the HBO hit series "Boardwalk Empire" and recurred as Gabriel in the CBS
"Person of Interest."
Fegley's love for acting started on local stages near his home in Allentown,
including Art Questin Bethlehem, PA; Bucks County Playhouse; and Civic Theatre
