PROFANITY: (View Profanity)
2 miscellaneous profanities are spoken.
SEX & NUDITY:
During the opening credits, breasts and buttocks are seen in silhouette -- if one looks very hard, nipples can occasionally be discerned. There are a couple of post-sex scenes in which couples can be seen lounging in bed, with bits of flesh (but not the "naughty bits") exposed. On one occasion, and extremely quick flash of a breast can be seen. As is often the case with Bond films, there are frequent sexual double entendres.
Many people are killed, usually either by being shot or blown up. With the exception of one impaling and a stabbing, none of the deaths are particularly graphic, and there's very little blood. In terms of non-fatal violence, there are a few fights and one scene in which a character is tortured by having his neck being slowly pulled to the breaking point.
DRUGS & ALCOHOL:
Some social drinking. Of course, one of those drinks is inevitably a vodka martini, shaken not stirred.
A number of lengthy and well-executed action scenes, including a chase that starts in the water and ends in a hot air balloon, a ski chase, a race through an oil pipeline, an attack by helicopters with buzzsaws, and the climax in a submarine. The film isn't wall-to-wall action, but it's close.
As in most Bond movies, there are humorous lines and moments sprinkled throughout to keep the mood light and playful.
TONE OF MOVIE:
Action thriller with occasional humor.
Most of the special effects are either explosions or miniatures, and they're all very believable.
