The film is about Satanism, and, as such features characters who worship and/or revere the Devil. Demons and the pursuit of evil are presented as potentially worthy goals.
PROFANITY: (View Profanity)
The F-word is spoken 1 time. God's name is spoken in vain 1 time. There are 8 other profanities spoken.
SEX & NUDITY:
There is one scene in which a naked woman is briefly shown from behind. There is a sex scene where the beginning of sex is shown (including the woman groping the man's crotch), but there is no nudity, and the majority of the act is not captured on camera. Finally, there is a sex scene in which the naked woman is shown at a medium distance from the side, and close-up from the front (above the waist only). It's a fairly graphic scene, with a great deal of movement, grunting, and sweating, and lasts for about 10 seconds.
The film opens with someone hanging himself (only his feet are shown during the act). After that, there are about a half-dozen murders, most shown off-screen. A strangulation is shown, as is someone burning to death. There are also two fight scenes, one of which results in a bloody nose and the other of which results in a dead body. There isn't much blood
DRUGS & ALCOHOL:
One character drinks frequently, presumably to relieve stress. He is frequently raiding his hotel room mini-bar. He is also a heavy smoker.
There are two hand-to-hand fights, one of which includes a little martial arts demonstration. There are also a pair of car chases, neither of which is exceptionally fast or lasts very long (at least by the standards of typical American movie car chases).
TONE OF MOVIE:
Special effects are occasionally used to enhance the atmosphere, and for other visual gimmicks (such as one actor playing twin characters). When used, the effects are believable, but this is not an effects-driven movie. For example, Satan is never shown.
There is some blood, but nothing exceptionally graphic.
