PROFANITY: (View Profanity)
The S-word is spoken 1 time. God's name is spoken in vain 1 time. There are 4 other profanities spoken.

SEX & NUDITY:
     None.

VIOLENCE:
Most of the "violence" results from ship-to-ship battles in which numerous people are killed. There is a scene of charred bodies. There are a few incidents of "up-close" violence. There is a short gun fight, a hand-to-hand battle in which one character gets bloodied up, and a scene where an individual is bludgeoned to death (not shown on camera). None of the violence is exceptionally graphic.

DRUGS & ALCOHOL:
     One short social drinking scene.

ACTION:
The movie is highly action-oriented. In addition to a gunfight and hand-to-hand combat incident, there are several protracted scenes of sub-to-sub and ship-to-sub combat. These scenes generate the most tension.

COMEDY:
     None.

TONE OF MOVIE:
     Submarine/World War II Thriller.

SPECIAL EFFECTS:
The special effects, which mainly show models of ships and subs and explosions, are adequate. They are not exceptionally realistic, but they get the job done. However, since the effects shots are not overused, their limited effectiveness does not become a detriment.
