TITAN A.E.

PARENTS NOTE:
Despite being an animated movie, Titan A.E. contains some intense scenes of violence which may frighten younger viewers.

PROFANITY:
     None.

SEX & NUDITY:
There is a brief shot of an animated character's bare buttocks. There is also some playful sexual tension between two of the characters -- nothing overt or graphic. Kids probably won't get it, but adults will.

VIOLENCE:
There are several fairly brutal fight scenes, and the animated characters often bleed. There are also deaths and some violent battle scenes that may disturb sensitive young children.

DRUGS & ALCOHOL:
     None.

ACTION:
In addition to foot chases and fight scenes, there are several rousing space battles and one exceptional hide-and-seek scene with space ships in a field of ice crystals.

COMEDY:
Although the characters occasionally make amusing quips, they are more for comic relief than anything. This is primarily a serious movie and there are no "cute" characters included for their humorous value.

TONE OF MOVIE:
     Animated Adventure/Science Fiction.

SPECIAL EFFECTS:
The film is a mix of traditional animation and computer graphics imaging. The CGI work is stunning; the line-drawn characters are adequate, but not spectacular. The melding of these two forms is occasionally awkward.
