HELLBOY

PROFANITY: (View Profanity)
There are 15 mild profanities spoken. I'm not sure, but it sounded like God's name is spoken in vain once. My wife and I both thought we heard it, but it's pretty unlikely to have actually been said since there is so little other profanity.

SEX & NUDITY:
     None

VIOLENCE:
There's lots of violence, some between men but most is between Hellboy and the monsters. There are gun battles where many are killed; one of the evil men kills many with his swords; a couple of bad guys are impaled by knifes/spears; a man is stabbed in the back and bleeds all over the floor, which brings up a blood covered evil man; creatures brutally kill several men.

DRUGS & ALCOHOL:
     None

ACTION:
LOTS of action throughout. There are a few scenes about his love interest where the story slows way down, but not for long. The action is great and should totally satisfy any action fan.

COMEDY:
Not as much comedy as there appears to be from the previews. Still, there are a couple of mild chuckles and 10 or so smiles. The wisecrack style of humor should especially appeal to this movies target audience of young males.

SPECIAL EFFECTS:
Fantastic Special Effects and LOTS Of Them! It's just incredible what they can do with computer generated graphics. Everything looks convincingly realistic.

SCARYNESS:
There are a few monster fight scenes that could certainly scare small children.

GORE:
There's a partially decomposed corpse and a gross looking guy that has had his lips and eye lids removed. I don't believe anyone will feel it's too graphic though.
