PROFANITY: (View Profanity)
The F-word is spoken 4 times (one is sexual). God's name is spoken in vain 2 times. There are 4 other profanities spoken.
SEX & NUDITY:
There's no sex or nudity. When Satan is talking through a woman, a couple of very graphic sexual remarks are made.
For this type of movie I doubt that anyone would feel the violence gets too graphic. Scenes: Many dead men are shown on a battlefield and many are killed during another battle. They are bloody and have swords and such sticking out of them. Many are shown crucified up side down; several times a child is shown being shot in the head, as well as others; wild animals attack a child and really chew him up; a man has a symbol carved in his chest and is very bloody. He then cuts his own throat, also bloody; a woman gives birth to a baby that's very gross and covered with maggots; a man shoots himself in the head; there's a bloody, dead and partially decomposed body with crows eating on him; lots of blood and maggots on the walls of a room, and more.
DRUGS & ALCOHOL:
A few scenes contain minor drinking.
I would say 90% of the action is in the last 30 minutes of the movie. During the rest of the movie there are a few very short scenes that contain action like activity, but it's certainly nothing special. If you're an action fan this movie isn't going to satisfy you.
TONE OF MOVIE:
Certainly nothing memorable like in the original movie.
It may be a little strong to anyone who isn't used to this type of movie.
The main character is an ex-priest. Much of the movie is about how Satan is very active in this town and he takes over some people and priests try to cast him out.
