Teen Hawaiian-surfing dude twins Phil and Stew Deedle (PAUL WALKER
& STEVE VAN WORMER) get mistaken for Park Ranger recruits
and launch into extreme action to save Yellowstone Park from pesky
prairie dogs and a vengeful ex-Park Ranger, Frank Slater (DENNIS
HOPPER), who is obsessed with stealing Old Faithful before its
billionth birthday celebration.
Action Comedy - Meet the Deedles is a painfully stupid action-comedy aimed entirely
at middle-schoolers. Pre-teenagers may laugh at the slapstick humor
and bodily function gags, but adults will just find it embarrassing.
Not appropriate for young children, despite the Disney name, and an
annoying bore for their parents.
PROFANITY: Mild and very infrequent SEX/NUDITY: A few kisses VIOLENCE: Cartoon style spills and slapstick where no one ends up injured. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: None ACTION: Lots of chases, runaway cars and skateboards, encounters with bears COMEDY: Crude bodily function humor
Walt Disney and his heirs spent over half a century turning the
Disney name into the gold standard for charming family entertainment.
In only a handful of months, the clown princes currently running the
Magic Kingdom appear to have made it their mission to make the name
an indicator of pure garbage. The annual animated feature aside,
Uncle Walt's factory has taken to churning out insulting, embarrassing
live-action features which stink like the flatulence they so often
feature: 101 Dalmatians, That Darn Cat, Rocket Man,
Mr. Magoo, and now Meet the Deedles.
