Critic's Review Heading
Very Good
Writer-director Neil LaBute's follow-up to his incendiary debut, In the Company of Men, is every bit as caustic--and just about as fascinating. This "modern immorality tale" about the tangled sex lives of three men and three women is a scathing, brutally funny, and ultimately disturbing satire of sexual and social mores that you may find yourself in deep discussion about your friends and neighbors--at least, those whom you believe to be your friends and neighbors--long after the film is over.

D ETAILED S TORYLINE

In the real world, life is what you make of it. An afternoon brunch with another couple? No better time to make a play for your best friend's wife. Vigorous sex with your lover? A perfect place to voice your contempt. Drinks in a quiet cafe? An irresistible opportunity to emotionally eviscerate someone close to you. A trip with your partner to a chain drugstore? Hash out your sexual differences in Aisle 6.

Words are the ultimate weapons. Only the most cunning and remorseless of your friends & neighbors survive. Welcome to the '90s.
