Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Sci-Fi Action - The 6th Day is a futuristic action/thriller in the classic Arnold Schwarzenegger style. Fans of Schwarzenegger films like Total Recall will most likely enjoy this slightly satirical, straight-ahead action story. Viewers who are turned off by too much violence or action films without much characterization will probably want to stay away.

Critic's Review Heading
Above Average
There's no point going overboard with praise for The 6th Day, a solid action thriller and little more. It is, however, a pleasure to watch Schwarzenegger in action without cringing in embarrassment. This tale of a man running for his life after being cloned against his will is a return to the classic Schwarzenegger action films of the late 1980s, though a bit too over-directed and over-plotted. There's a pointless explosion here or a bit too much exposition there, but from start to finish it's generally concerned with delivering the goods. And after nearly a decade, it's worth a nod of encouragement that Arnold Schwarzenegger finally doesn't look like a lost action hero.
