Critic's Review Heading
Poor
With the appropriately titled Dude, Where's My Car?, there's no doubt that director Danny Leiner is trying to clone Dumb and Dumber for a younger crowd. Along the way, he has made countless mistakes. This is a one-joke motion picture, and that one joke rapidly grows tiresome. In a blatant attempt to get as many people into theaters as possible, Leiner whittled away at his R-rated subject matter until it achieved a PG-13 rating. As a result, not only is the final script of Dude lobotomized, but it has been emasculated as well.

OPINION OVERVIEW
The following is the original "What's Worth Watching" write-up for this movie.

Moviegoer Opinions:

We struggled to collect 93 moviegoer opinions. The male teen audience this movie attracted isn't very interested in filling out our questionnaire. The opinions show that most of the teen males and females enjoyed the movie. As the age increased the ratings decreased. There were so few adults that their opinions probably aren't very accurate. This is obviously a teen movie and they are about the only ones that have much of a chance of enjoying it.

Publisher Comments: (before opinions collected)
Being over age 30, I'm not qualified to give an opinion on this silly teen comedy except to say that VERY few adults will find much to enjoy in this movie.

D ETAILED S TORYLINE

Last night, two party-hearty Dudes had an unbelievably sweet time. Too bad, they can't remember a thing, including where they parked their car. All they know is there's a year's supply of pudding in the fridge, and their girlfriends are ticked at them for trashing their house and forgetting their anniversary. To make up with the girls, the Dudes have to find the anniversary gifts they bought for the occasion. But it won't be easy — the goodies are in their car.

So, the Dudes embark on a mission: retrace their steps to find out what they did last night (and who they did it to), hoping it will lead them to the missing car. Little do the Dudes know, they're in for the ride of their lives.
