Lara Croft travels to dangerous and mysterious locales around the globe in search of rare, lost crypts and long-forgotten empires. She speaks numerous languages, is highly trained for combat and answers to no one, obeying only a desire for adventure.
Action Adventure Mystery - An action adventure that's a little short of action and long on
story, which is a little difficult to follow. It will obviously
appeal to males, especially young teens, but it should also appeal
to young teen girls who will enjoy seeing the female kick butt.
Adults will likely enjoy the movie as long as they are willing to
accept the far-fetched storyline and action scenes.
PROFANITY: No F-word's or GD's. Just a few S-words and one A-word. SEX/NUDITY: One brief glimpse of the side of her breasts. VIOLENCE: A fair amount of violence. Certainly nothing graphic. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: None ACTION: Not as much action as you might expect. There were only three major action scenes. COMEDY: Only a few mildly funny remarks are made.
OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
After children, teen girls rated this movie the highest. I suspect they enjoyed seeing a female lead character whip up on the guys. Surprisingly, teen males didn't rate it any higher than adults. As for adults, gender didn't seem to make any difference in the opinions. A little better than half of adult moviegoers gave "Tomb Raider" a high rating. The remaining half rated it only "Good" to "Fair," which we've learned is pretty low and indicates a movie with some problems.
If you generally like this type of movie, I would say your chances of enjoying this one are high, but you should probably read the detailed opinions before deciding for sure.

Although it was an entertaining movie that I would recommend, it was a bit of a disappointment. Angelina was great, but I was expecting more action. There were only three major action scenes, which were great, but a little far-fetched. The story itself just wasn't all that interesting.
I predict kids will rate it highly, but I doubt it will receive very many really high opinions from adults.
