Review Above Average "..a poorly-focused, meandering motion picture that

Review Good "The fairly predictable story is the least of Bandits'
charms. Rather, it's the performances, writing and taut pacing that distinguish
this film. Like the public that can't get enough of the bandits' antics, one
can't help but root for this pleasantly escapist movie.''

OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Not a movie everyone loved, but most enjoyed it, some much more so than others. The relatively high number of "Good" opinions is actually a bit on the low side. This coupled with the high number of "Excellent" and "Fantastic" opinions indicates a movie that most will enjoy, at least to some degree. Also, you'll notice there is little difference between the male and female opinions. The small number of negative comments shows there wasn't any main reasons why some didn't like the movie.
I RECOMMEND "BANDITS" since I'm confident you will either enjoy it very much or at the very least find it somewhat enjoyable. I was surprised that my, very picky eleven-year-old even loved it, so I recommend it to young teens and older kids - but parents, be sure to read the detailed content first.

I thought it was very entertaining and funny. It may not be what many of you may be expecting. It's NOT an action film with Bruce blowing up everything. It's more of a buddy movie with a love interest twist. It contains a lot of dialog. Fortunately most of this dialog is quite funny. Also, the characters are great.
It may get a little slow in spots for some younger viewers who demand lots of action. But I feel most younger viewers will enjoy the characters and humor.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BANDITS to everyone that goes in knowing this is NOT an action flick.
Suave, irresistible Joe (Bruce Willis) and his hypochondriac partner Terry
(Billy Bob Thornton) have escaped from prison. Cutting a swatch from Oregon
through California, these fugitives rob banks in order to finance their scheme
for a new and somewhat legitimate life south of the border, leaving a trail of
terrified bankers, bad wigs - and an adoring public - in their wake.
Unfortunate, things get more complicated when they meet Kate Wheeler (Cate
Blanchett), an ordinary housewife sick of her boring life - who happens to run
into Terry with her car. Kate joins the bandits on their cross-country spree,
and eventually she steals something, too - their hearts. Both guys fall in love
with Kate - and Kate falls for both of them. Joe and Terry are far from ideal on
their own, but together they make up the perfect man...
