Three childhood friends rediscover their friendship on a cross-country trip. With barely a plan, practically no money but plenty of dreams, the girls catch a lift with Mimi's friend Ben in his '73 Buick convertible. Along the way they not only gather experiences that will change their lives forever, but they also discover how important it is to hold onto their hearts' desires.
Drama - This is obviously a "chick flick" for young teen females, but young
guys will want to see it for the many scenes of Britney Spears in
somewhat revealing clothes. This makes it a great date movie for
teens. Adults should also enjoy it since the story doesn't contain a
lot of teen specific scenes or humor.
PROFANITY: Not much profanity and what there is, is pretty mild. SEX/NUDITY: No sex /nudity. Some sex talk/innuendo, revealing clothes. VIOLENCE: None DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Some minor drinking. ACTION: None COMEDY: Quite a bit of humor throughout.

Review Very Good "The millions of preteens and their parents who love her
for her Scotchgarded girl-woman perfection aren't going to be disappointed by Crossroads.
Heck and gosh, neither was I, so impressed and even charmed am I by the
expertise with which Britney has been gently launched as a movie star.''
Review Below Average "I went to "Crossroads" expecting a glitzy
bimbofest and got the bimbos but not the fest. Britney Spears' feature debut is
curiously low-key and even sad. Yes, it pulls itself together occasionally for a
musical number, but even those are so locked into the "reality" of the
story that they don't break lose into fun.''
Review Below Average "Not since That Thing You Do!
have we been subjected so repeatedly to a movie tune. Not only must we hear her
warble "I'm not a girl, not yet a woman" several times, we must also
endure her intone the lyrics as poetry. Such
foolishness proves Britney's still a girl, not yet an actress.''

Review Below Average "For a synthetic exercise in career-building, this
road movie aimed at barely adolescent girls isn't as bad as it might be until
the ludicrous finale pushes it firmly into the realm of pure piffle.''

OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Obviously this is a movie teen girls LOVE, which is certainly no surprise. There were only a few teen males who braved this movie and they enjoyed it. So, I think you ladies can safely watch Britney with your fella.
As for older females, most enjoyed it with the 20-29 age group giving it some pretty high reviews. Adult females rated it as an average movie.
With these opinions it's easy to HIGHLY RECOMMEND "CROSSROADS" to young females! (as if they needed a recommendation to see it :-)
Publisher Comments: (before opinions collected)
It's a given that teenage girls and guys will see this movie in droves, but it's a surprisingly entertaining movie for adults.
This is a great movie for mom to take a teen daughter to see. Both will thoroughly enjoy "Crossroads." I predict the teen female opinions will be off the scale and the adult female opinions will be very high. BUT PARENTS, BE SURE TO READ THE DETAILED CONTENT! It may be too sexual for some.
As for the guys, I predict teen males will rate this movie very high, but probably for totally different reasons (all the skin Britney shows). Adult males will be the only unknown. I believe most will enjoy it, as I did, but it obviously won't be a movie high on their "to see" list.
