Good "Blade II is less obsessed with its hero as a fashion
statement of new-millennium demon chic than the first Blade was. The new
film seems equally influenced by videogames and open-heart surgery. (The
directer) lays on the operatic head-trip gore, but his heavy-handed embrace of
the ''Blade'' mythology allows Wesley Snipes to give more of a performance than
he did in the first film.''

Above Average "The film stays true to its unpretentious origins -
it's like a comic book come to life, with an undeniable visual flair, a lot of
kinetic action sequences, minimal character development, and a plot that could
charitably be called "uneven". In actuality, significant chunks of the
movie don't make a lot of sense, but logic was plainly not a top priority on the

rest is desperate: gouging, kicking, flying, stabbing, riding on an opponent's

undead. Blade II is for the horror faithful only..."
