Donna dreams of becoming a first class international flight attendant and is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that her dreams come true. The road to success, though, is rarely a smooth flight, and as she begins her trip she encounters more turbulence than even she bargained for. But the real question is whether her bumpy start will cause her to leave her dreams behind or if it will take her on the journey of a lifetime.
Comedy - A silly and quirky comedy with some romance. Mike Myers makes it
quirky and is the source of much of the humor (assuming you like
silly style of humor).
PROFANITY: 5 S-words, 3 A-words. Very few others. SEX/NUDITY: Some cleavage and very short dresses. VIOLENCE: None DRUGS/ALCOHOL: None ACTION: None COMEDY: Quite a bit of humor throughout, but only one big laugh.

Review Average "There's nothing disrespectable about being a flight
attendant. There is, however, something patently cloying and insincere about the
way View From the Top portrays flying over the glass ceiling as if that
were the same thing as breaking through it.''
James Berardinelli, Internet Critic
Review Average "At its best, View from the Top is a mediocre
diversion – a movie better watched at home where the remote control can be
used (if necessary) to fast forward to the film's best part: the obligatory end
Review Good "The movie, directed by Bruno Barreto and written by Eric Wald,
is surprising for what it doesn't contain: No scenes involving mile-high clubs,
lecherous businessmen or randy pilots, but the sincere story of a woman who
finds her career is almost but not quite enough. Adult audiences may be
underwhelmed. Not younger teenage girls, who will be completely fascinated.''
Review Average "View From the Top is Hollywood's oddest movie in a
while, which means that however insignificant this primer in flight-attendant
training is, causing boredom isn't one of its transgressions. But commercially
and critically, it'll probably experience a view from the bottom.''

OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
I certainly predicted this one correctly. Just as I said, it didn't receive very many high opinions or many low opinions. Most of the opinions are in the "Very Good" to "Good" range, which indicates just an above average movie.
I would recommend only seeing this movie at a matinee or holding out until it hits the second run theaters. If you don't see it then, it's certainly worth a rental.
Cinema Review Prediction: (before moviegoer opinions are collected) View from the Top is fun, silly, funny, romantic and even serious and
touching at times. Most of the silliness and humor is due to Mike Myers. He has
several scenes and if you enjoy his silly style of humor you will undoubtedly
find this movie to be very funny. If you go in knowing this is a silly comedy,
which is pretty evident from the previews, then I'm certain you will enjoy View
from the Top. I doubt that it will receive many real high opinions or many
low opinions. It's just an average to above average little comedy that most
should enjoy. Note: Ladies, there's one scene near the end that may well
bring a happy tear to your eye, so go prepared.
