Mitch, Frank and Beanie have all reached a crossroads in their lives. They can choose to be responsible adults, with wives, families and steady jobs…or they can postpone adulthood in favor of the reckless abandon of frat house living with all of the fun, and none of the education. No contest.
Comedy - A very juvenile, goofy, silly, crazy teen comedy. It's also very
sexual and vulgar. It's obviously just for teens and young adults,
PROFANITY: 14 F-words, 1 GD, 6 A-words, 2 S-words. Many others. SEX/NUDITY: Very sexual throughout. Some nudity. VIOLENCE: None DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Lots of drinking at parties. One person shown very drunk. ACTION: None COMEDY: Although the humor is often very juvenile, it is quite funny.

Review Above Average "Under Reitman's deanship, Ferrell lets his freak flag
fly and Vaughn unlooses a notably funny, light-on-his-feet lunkheadedness as a
successful entrepreneur leashed by a wife (Leah Remini) and kids.''
James Berardinelli, Internet Critic
Review Above Average "...low-brow, moronic to a fault, and occasionally
side-splittingly funny. If the viewer's intention is to have a few laughs, this
movie gets a passing grade. In an era when a viewer is lucky to find one or two
humorous moments during the course of a 90-minute so-called "comedy," Old
School delivers with surprising effectiveness. If you're looking for a more
complete cinematic experience, Old School has a few too many absences.''
Review Poor "This is not a funny movie, although it has a few good scenes
and some nice work by Ferrell as an apparently compulsive nudist. The movie has
been slapped together by director Todd Phillips, who careens from scene to scene
without it occurring to him that humor benefits from characterization...''
Review Above Average "The movie is so loosely structured that even James
Carville shows up in one scene. As a result, the throwaway bits (a wedding
singer warbling obscenities, a deliciously nasty gag during the end credits)
tend to be good for guffaws in a way the overall movie is not.''

Cinema Review Prediction: (before moviegoer opinions are collected)
If you're young and you enjoy movies like Animal House, I'm confident you will enjoy Old School very much. If you're older, but still have a fondness for well done movies of the Animal House genre, you will likely find several satisfying moments.
