Two straight men take a Caribbean cruise on the U.S.S. Calypso, hoping to get lucky, only to discover that they accidentally booked an all-gay cruise instead... undoubtedly, wacky high jinks soon ensue. Specifically, one of them meets a beautiful ship member that he wants to win over, but she thinks he's gay (of course).
PROFANITY: 8 F-words, 3 GD's, 10 A-words, 1 S-word. Quite a few others. SEX/NUDITY: Lots of graphic sexual talk, some female nudity. VIOLENCE: None DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Some drinking, drunkenness and dope smoking. ACTION: None COMEDY: Certainly not many laughs for a comedy.

Review Terrible "I thought Cuba Gooding Jr. couldn't blow his Oscar cred
more profligately than he did last year in the pandering
black-guy-lost-among-white-folks comedy ''Snow Dogs.'' I was wrong...you
couldn't find a more outdated, miscalculated collection of stale, queen-size
stereotypes than those trotted out on this ship of fools.''
Review Very Poor "...Not that the film is outrageous. That would be asking
too much. It is dim-witted, unfunny, too shallow to be offensive, and way too
conventional to use all of those people standing around in the background
wearing leather and chains and waiting hopefully for their cues. This is a movie
made for nobody, about nothing.''

Review Poor "For every coarse gag about mincing cross-dressers and the
"Hole in One" room (no, it's not an indoor driving range), there's an
equal and opposite one about brainless blondes with colossal boob jobs and horny
hags. It's hard to imagine who would find this funny.''
Review Average "The humor gets very raunchy and is definitely not for

OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
These are some pretty bad opinions, but they're actually a little better than I expected. I can't imagine anyone giving this movie a rating of "Fantastic" or even "Excellent," but some did. However, many rated it quite low.
I would say, for the average moviegoer, this is NOT a movie you are likely to enjoy enough to shell out twenty bucks in tickets and concessions.
I really have no idea what group of moviegoers are giving Boat Trip the higher ratings, so I can't help you discover if you might be one of them. All I can do is recommend that you catch a cheaper matinee if you take a chance and see this movie.
Cinema Review Prediction: (before moviegoer opinions are collected) Very sexual and only occasionally funny. This is NOT a movie you'll want to rush out to see. Personally, I'm very glad that I get to see movies for free, because I wouldn't have wanted to waste my money seeing this mess. It does have a few funny scenes, but certainly not enough to recommend seeing it. Young teen males are about the only likely audience for this movie, because it has a lot of sexual jokes and some women in bikini's, but they probably won't like the gay scenes. The best I can do is suggest that it might be worth a rental, but only after its been out on video long enough to rent for a couple bucks or less.
Hoping to get his mind off his ex-girlfriend Felicia (Vivica A. Fox), heart-broken Jerry (Cuba Gooding, Jr.) decides to join his best friend Nick (Horatio Sanz) on a tropical singles cruise for a week of sun and possible romance. But when Jerry and Nick realize they've been accidentally booked on a gay cruise, all they can think of is jumping ship - that is, until Jerry falls head-over-heels for Gabriella (Roselyn Sanchez), a gorgeous dance instructor who, after a string of bad boyfriends, has given up on love. Hoping to get past Gabriella's stalwart defenses, Jerry pretends to be gay- but matters get complicated when both Jerry and Gabriella start to feel the heat of mutual attraction. And when Felicia unexpectedly appears on board hoping to win her ex-boyfriend back, Jerry is suddenly faced with the decision of a lifetime…
