As they track down her killer, they quickly realize that their old ways of doing business have new consequences. The four brothers come together to discover that they are bound by ties thicker than blood.

Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Action Drama - This is a violent action film with moments of serious drama as well as moments of broader, silly humor. To go with the title, the film is definitely one with more male appeal than female appeal.

Critic's Review Heading
Good

The above rating is an average of the critic reviews below.

Roger Ebert Full Review
Good John Singleton's 'Four Brothers' is an urban Western, or maybe it's an urban movie inspired by a Western; either way, it's intended to be more mythic than realistic. It connects with underlying moral currents in the way Westerns used to, back before greed, fear, anger and 'society' provided action movies with all the motivation they needed.

USA Today Full Review
Good Preposterous yet solidly entertaining, John Singleton's Four Brothers gets bonus points for putting a novel spin on yet another chase scene: Cars zoom down Detroit streets — during a frame-filling blizzard that would do Doctor Zhivago proud.
