Animated - This is a computer animated comedy aimed at the entire family, but
its largest appeal will be with children.

Roger EbertFull Review Good The movie has a lot more action than "Ice Age: The Meltdown," which was essentially one long trek. There are savage beasts (wilde and other), exploding volcanoes, rivers of lava, and so on -- some of it maybe too intense for the youngest kids.
USA TodayFull Review Average The Wild may just be the most wildly derivative animated movie in ages. It borrows its theme from Finding Nemo, copies elements of The Lion King and has a shockingly similar plot to Madagascar.

OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Based on a theater exit polling of 97 moviegoers:It's certainly no surprise that CHILDREN LOVED "THE WILD." Unfortunately, adult opinions are disappointing, especially from the males. Only a small percentage of them truly enjoyed this movie. Most rated it as an OK/average movie. Adult female opinions are quite a bit better, but certainly not great. However, for a kids movie these adult opinions are fine. They show that kids will love the movie and adults will be somewhat entertained. It's just not going to be a movie like "Shrek" or "Toy Story" that adults enjoyed as much as kids.
