Lightning McQueen, a hotshot rookie race car driven to succeed, discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line, when he finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs. On route across the country to the big Piston Cup Championship in California to compete against two seasoned pros, McQueen gets to know the town's offbeat characters –including Sally, Doc Hudson, and Mater – who help him realize that there are more important things than trophies, fame and sponsorship.
Animated Comedy - The animation is vivid and life like with an appealing story and
does have some funny parts throughout.

Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Good Overall, if the film is not as funny as its predecessors, that's probably part and parcel of why it doesn't seem as enchanting. Emotionally, despite the character arc, Cars doesn't resonate in the same way The Incredibles or Toy Story did.
Roger EbertFull Review Good The movie is great to look at and a lot of fun, but somehow lacks the extra push of the other Pixar films.
