OPINION OVERVIEW
The following is the original "What's Worth Watching" write-up for this movie.

Moviegoer Opinions:

Based on a theater exit polling of 109 moviegoers:VERY MIXED!
CHILDREN:Over half really enjoyed it and the remaining ones thought it was OK/average. That's pretty good.
TEENS:About half the females truly enjoyed "The Messengers." Most of the remaining half rated it OK/average. Just a few didn't care for it. Recommended for teen females.
Teen males didn't enjoy it as much as the females. There were no "Fantastic" opinions (very unusual) and quite a few low opinions. Most of you will likely feel that this is an "OK/average" movie. Some will like it more and some less. To mixed for a recommendation.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:The females clearly loved "The Messengers." Almost all rated it very high. Highly recommended! As for the guys, about half truly enjoyed it. Half of the remaining half rated it OK/average. The remaining opinions were low to terrible. Since three-quarters rated it "Good" or higher, most of you will enjoy it, at least to some degree.
ADULTS:VERY MIXED! About half of the adult females enjoyed it, but not real strongly. The remaining opinions are pretty low. The male opinions are about the same. Around half enjoyed it and the other half certainly didn't. This isn't a movie that I would recommend spending lots of money to see. It may be worth a matinee or rental later if you feel strongly that it's one you might like.
