Critic's Review Heading

Berardinelli, Internet Critic Full Review
Good Beowulf delivers everything one could reasonably expect from it.

Roger Ebert Full Review
Good I'm not complaining. I'm serious when I say the movie is funny. Some of the dialog sounds like Monty Python. No, most of the dialog does.

USA Today Full Review
Good Beowulf couldn't be less faithful to the original epic poem, and that's actually a good thing for moviegoers. It's a lot more fun than the mythic adventure most of us read in school.

OPINION OVERVIEW
The following is the original "What's Worth Watching" write-up for this movie.

Moviegoer Opinions:

Based on a theater exit polling of 74 moviegoers:
TEENS:Approximately three-quarters of both males and females really enjoyed "Beowulf." Most of the remaining quarter rated it average, with just a small percentage rating it lower. Highly Recommended.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:Nearly all the males rated "Beowulf" very high. Only half the females truly enjoyed it. The other half didn't care for it. Highly Recommended for males. Females should proceed with caution.
ADULTS:Only about half the male adults really enjoyed "Beowulf," but the very high reviews are lacking. Most of the remaining male reviews are average to below average. This tells me that most felt this movie was good but certainly not great. The female reviews are even lower. Only a small number rated it very high. Most rated it above average to average with quite a few rating it below average. I would only recommend "Beowulf" to big fans of this type of movie.
