Notes:
Peter suit suddenly changes to jet-black and enhances his power, but it also changes Peter. He becomes over confident and neglects the people that care about him. He must choose between the power of his new suit and the compassionate hero he used to be while Sandman and Venom joined together to fight Spiderman.
Action Adventure - This third installment of the popular superhero movie series offers
more of the same: action, romance, drama. Like the first two films,
the appeal is wide, across all demographics, though young adults are
the focus.

Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Average It's really two movies crammed into one, the first of which is a lot better than the second. Spider-Man 3 starts out strong but before it finishes, many viewers will desperately wish it had called it quits an hour earlier.
Roger EbertFull Review Average I enjoyed the spirit and the energy and the colorful look of the first 'Spider-Man,' and I thought 'Spider-Man 2' was the best superhero sequel ever made — which is why I was so disappointed by the meandering storylines, sub-par performances and lackluster bad guys of 'Spider-Man 3.'
USA TodayFull Review Good The third adventure of the guy with arachnid superpowers tries gamely, is solidly entertaining and possesses dazzling special effects, but it falls short of the near-perfection of the Spidey sequel.

DETAILED OPINIONS
The positive and negative comments made by moviegoers are very
helpful when selecting a movie that's appropriate for you and your family.
OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Moviegoer Opinions:
Based on a theater exit polling of 182 moviegoers:Overall, these are very good opinions, but not quite great. They are also quite a bit lower than "Spiderman 2" opinions.
CHILDREN:THEY LOVED "SPIDERMAN 3." Nuff said.
TEENS:Three-quarters, both male and female, thought it was great, but the remaining quarter only rated it average to below average. For any other movie these opinions would be great, but they're a little disappointing when expectations are so high.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:The male and female opinions are about the same. Most enjoyed it very much. A few females rated it only average. A few males rated it below average to poor.
ADULTS:What I noticed about the adult opinions is that the "Fantastic" opinions are lacking, especially compared to the opinions from "Spiderman 2." Also disappointing is the high number of "Good," and lower opinions from both the males and females. These are very good opinions for any other movie, but quite a few of you may be somewhat disappointed.
Peter Parker has finally managed to strike a balance between his devotion to M.J. and his duties as a superhero. But there is a storm brewing on the horizon. When his suit suddenly changes, turning jet-black and enhancing his powers, it transforms Peter as well, bringing out the dark, vengeful side of his personality that he is struggling to control. Under the influence of the suit, Peter becomes overconfident and starts to neglect the people who care about him most. Forced to choose between the seductive power of the new suit and the compassionate hero he used to be, Peter must overcome his personal demons as two of the most-feared villains yet, Sandman and Venom, gather unparalleled power and a thirst for retribution to threaten Peter and everyone he loves.
