Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Thriller - This is a supernatural thriller that has more of a dramatic and romantic element than scares and effects. As such, this has a lot of female appeal, especially with star Sandra Bullock, whose fans will find a lot to savor here. Those looking for more traditional horror will be disappointed, though.

Critic's Review Heading

Berardinelli, Internet Critic Full Review
Above Average ...although aspects of Premonition tantalize, other elements frustrate, and that makes for an uneasy final result.

USA Today Full Review
Average Premonition is both dreary and absurd, suffering from a lack of intrinsic logic and terrible pacing, a one-two punch that kills off any chance of entertainment value.

OPINION OVERVIEW
The following is the original "What's Worth Watching" write-up for this movie.

Moviegoer Opinions:

Based on a theater exit polling of 127 moviegoers:
TEENS:Great opinions, especially from the females. Only a relatively small percentage rated it as low as average. Easily recommended.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:Only a couple of the males truly enjoyed it. Most of the rest rated it average to below average, or lower. The female opinions are a little better. A little less than half truly enjoyed "Premonition." Most of the rest rated it as average, with a few rating it below average. Not strongly recommended, but it might be worth a matinee and is certainly worth considering as a rental.
ADULTS:The male opinions are decent but not great. About half truly enjoyed "Premonition." Half of the remaining half rated it as average. Quite a few rated it very low. These opinions are too mixed to be very helpful. Half of you will likely enjoy it, most of the rest of you will think it's an OK movie.
The female opinions are quite a bit better. Over three-quarters rated it "Very Good," or higher with most of the remaining ladies rating it average. Highly Recommended!
