DETAILED STORYLINE

Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Thriller - This is a fairly complex, twist-laden, racially-themed mystery-thriller, not the action-oriented film the studio is marketing it as. As such, this is more of a film for older adults interested in dialogue-heavy drama and not the urban action crowd as appearances suggest.

OPINION OVERVIEW
The following is the original "What's Worth Watching" write-up for this movie.

Moviegoer Opinions:

This movie did very little business its opening weekend so we were only able to collect eight opinions. The highest rating given was "Very Good" from three of the eight. Another couple rated it "Good" with the rest rating it "Fair" and "Poor." That's not good! Several commented that it was slow, but that it did have some good suspense at times.

D ETAILED S TORYLINE
Ford Cole (Ray Liotta) is a big-city district attorney with his eye on the mayor's office and a big problem on his hands. One of his deputies, the beautiful assistant district attorney Nora Timmer (Jolene Blalock), has just confessed to killing a man in what she claims was self-defense. A bad situation gets worse when an enigmatic stranger named Luther Pinks (James Todd Smith) turns up at the police station to contradict Nora's story and paint a very different picture of Ford's talented colleague. With his career and perhaps his life on the line, Ford has a mere handful of hours to sort the truth from the lies in a saga involving Nora, a record store clerk (Mekhi Phifer), and a powerful gang lord.
