Carl Allen is a man who signs up for a self-help program based on one simple principle: say yes to everything...and anything. At first, unleashing the power of "yes" transforms Carl's life in amazing and unexpected ways, but he soon discovers that opening up his life to endless possibilities can have its drawbacks.
Comedy - This Jim Carrey comedy has all the silly slapstick that he is known
for, but the film is also a more mature romantic comedy, so it may
have more female and older viewer appeal. There is some raunchy
humor that makes the film inappropriate for young children.
OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Based on a theater exit polling of 117 moviegoers:
TEENS:The males LOVED "YES MAN." Highly Recommended! Two-thirds of the females loved it. Most of the rest of the females rated it "Good/Average," which is a bit low. A few rated it below average.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:Both males and females absolutely LOVED "YES MAN." Very Highly Recommended!
ADULTS:Half the males enjoyed "Yes Man" very much. From looking at the twentysomething male reviews, my guess is that most of the higher adult reviews came from the younger males. The remaining half rated "Yes Man" as "Good/Average," which is somewhat low, but not bad. The females enjoyed it a little more than the males. More of them rated it above average rather than average. Only a small percentage of the males and females were disappointed and rated it below average. Only recommended for Carrey fans.
