Notes:
Po is a big fan of Kung Fu and he is unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy. Po's dreams become reality when he joins the world of Kung Fu and studies alongside his idols, the legendary Furious Five under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu.
Animated - This is an animated action comedy that is indeed good for the whole
family--kids will enjoy the comedy; it tells a nice story for the
adults; and the action crowd will get the goods. The film skews
male but females should enjoy as well. Some of the high profile
voice cast, such as Angelina Jolie and Jackie Chan, don't have a
whole lot of voice time.

Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Good Although the basic storyline and moral are standard animated film building blocks, Kung Fu Panda contains enough funny material, low-key thrills, and moments of genuine pathos to prevent it from seeming too much like a re-tread. This is a solid family film material, although one suspects the children will get a little more out of it than their parents.
Roger EbertFull Review Good "Kung Fu Panda" is not one of the great recent animated films. The story is way too predictable, and truth to tell, Po himself didn't overwhelm me with his charisma. But it's elegantly drawn, the action sequences are packed with energy, and it's short enough that older viewers will be forgiving. For the kids, of course, all this stuff is much of a muchness, and here they go again.
USA TodayFull Review Average Though occasionally visually inventive, Kung Fu Panda is a disappointment when it comes to matters of simple black and white: the script. Everything that happens in this dull tale of Po, a paunchy panda who becomes a zealous kung fu fighter, is telegraphed well in advance.

Enthusiastic, big and a little clumsy, Po is the biggest fan of Kung Fu around...which doesn't exactly come in handly while working every day in his family's noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill and ancient prophecy, Po's dreams become reality when he joins the world of Kung Fu and studies alongside his idols, the legendary Furious Five - Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey - under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu. But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung is headed their way, and it's up to Po to defend everyone from the ocnoning threat. Can he turn his dreams of becomign a Kung Fu master into reality? Po puts his hears and his girth into the task, and the unlikely hero ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.
