Notes:
A young street dancer, Thomas Uncles, from the wrong side of the tracks and a beautiful young woman, Megan White, are brought together by their passion for dancing and put to the test in the mother of all dance battles.
.
Comedy - This is a silly spoof of the youth-oriented urban dance films that
have been popular the last few years. Some crude gags makes the film
inappropriate for kids.
PROFANITY: 1 F-word, 9 S-words, 1 GD, a number of others. SEX/NUDITY: Visible female genitalia under clothing. VIOLENCE: Comic hits and fighting. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Alcohol. ACTION: Some fighting. COMEDY: Silly slapstick, wisecracks and banter, crude humor.
Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Average Maybe the root of the problem is that genre parodies have been so played out that they no longer carry much interest and, when it comes to dance films, some of the worst exist as self-parodies in their own right.
USA TodayFull Review Average Spoofing dance movies is an inspired notion, and Dance Flick occasionally hits its mark with nimble execution. But too often it stumbles clumsily into bad taste.
