When legendary treasures from around the world are stolen, including the priceless Pink Panther Diamond, Chief Inspector Dreyfus is forced to assign Clouseau to a team of international detectives and experts charged with catching the thief and retrieving the stolen artifacts.
Comedy - Like the first film, this is a very broad, very silly comedy. There
is some suggestive humor, but the silliness gives it broad family
appeal. Fans of Kevin Kline and Beyonce may be disappointed by
absence here, but there's plenty of other name stars here to
compensate, and the film has no shortage of the slapstick that made

PROFANITY: 2 miscellaneous profanities. SEX/NUDITY: None VIOLENCE: Hits/falls played for laughs. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Some alcohol. ACTION: Some fighting and chases. COMEDY: Lots of silly slapstick and verbal humor, sometimes
Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Below Average No one involved with The Pink Panther 2 escapes unsullied, least of all Martin, who should have given up after recognizing how badly he was miscast three years ago.
Roger EbertFull Review Average As the movie began, my smile faded. The actors are let down by the screenplay and direction, which don't really pop the supporting characters out into strong comic focus.
USA TodayFull Review Below Average The plot is wafer-thin and the acting is pallid.

OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Based on a theater exit polling of 84 moviegoers:
CHILDREN:THEY LOVED "PINK PANTHER."
TEENS:The females enjoyed it very much. Just a few were slightly disappointed. The few male reviews are too mixed to be of much use.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:There are just a few reviews and they rate is as above average.
ADULTS:About half the males and females truly enjoyed "The Pink Panther." The other half rated it as just average, which is a bit disappointing but not terrible. These are decent reviews for a silly comedy.
