Notes:
When Langdon discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati - the most powerful underground organization in history - he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization's most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. Langdon and Vetra will follow a 400-year-old trail of ancient symbols that mark the Vatican's only hope for survival.
Suspense Thriller - This is sequel to The DaVinci Code is less talky and more
action-oriented, so it has some wider appeal beyond the older adult
target. This is basically a one-man show for Tom Hanks. Some
violent content makes the film too intense for children, who would
likely be bored as a whole anyhow.
Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Below Average If there's something to appreciate about Angels & Demons, it's the cheesy absurdity of the final 40 minutes.
Roger EbertFull Review Good All of this happens at breakneck speed, with little subtlety, but with fabulous production values.
USA TodayFull Review Average Angels doesn't know when to quit: Just when you think it's over, it continues, like the franchise based on Brown's books.
NewsdayFull Review Average Overly familiar, deadly serious and hell-bent on remaining inoffensive.

GREAT REVIEWS! All ages, both males and females LOVED "ANGELS & DEMONS." As usual, the critics are way off on this one. When only a very small percentage rate a movie below average and over half rate it "Excellent" or "Fantastic," you've got a "MUST SEE MOVIE!"
What terrifying discovery would make the Vatican turn to Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks), the man who cracked history’s most controversial code? When Langdon finds evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati – the most powerful underground organization in history – he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the Illuminati’s most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. Upon learning that the clock is ticking on an unstoppable Illuminati time bomb, Langdon is recruited to travel to Rome, where he joins forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful and enigmatic Italian scientist. Embarking on a nonstop, action-packed hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and even to the heart of the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra will follow the 400-year-old Path of Illumination that marks the Vatican's only hope for survival.
