Ed Dalton is a vampire hematologist who’s charged with inventing a human blood substitute before the human food supply runs out and vampires starve to death. Unlike most others of his kind, Dalton is morally conflicted about his condition. Though he craves human blood, he refuses to drink it, gradually weakening himself on a second-rate diet of animal blood.
Roger EbertFull Review Above Average This intriguing premise, alas, ends as so many movies do these days, with fierce fights and bloodshed.
USA TodayFull Review Above Average Daybreakers is entertaining, though not quite up to the standards of 28 Days Later. It is a happy alternative to the tepid appeal of pre-teen vamps and werewolves. But why make a vampire movie lacking the allure of the enticing fiends?

TWENTYSOMETHINGS:A few of the males loved it but most were somewhat to very disappointed. The female reviews are not great. Close to half rated it above average, but most were disappointed.
