Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Comedy - Like Adam Sandler's other films, this is a silly and often juvenile comedy, but this one is more kid- and family-oriented than most of his others. This is also more of an ensemble film, with Sandler sharing the stage fairly equally with co-stars Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider. Fans of the female co-stars such as Salma Hayek and Maria Bello will be disappointed by their limited screen time. Some crude humor may be inappropriate for very young children.

Critic's Review Heading

Berardinelli, Internet Critic Full Review
Good Grown Ups turns out to be the funniest thing in which Sandler has appeared in years.

Roger Ebert Full Review
Average "Grown Ups” is a pleasant, genial, good-hearted, sometimes icky comedy that's like spending a weekend with well-meaning people you don't want to see again any time real soon.

USA Today Full Review
Below Average Now, though, the humor seems to be aging along with the star. Sandler (who wrote the script) may still find flatulence and fat jokes funny, but unless you like to see men struggling with their bodily functions, the gross-out humor falls flat here.

OPINION OVERVIEW
The following is the original "What's Worth Watching" write-up for this movie.

Moviegoer Opinions:

Based on a theater exit polling of 182 moviegoers:
These are GREAT REVIEWS from all ages, both males and females. Over half of each group rated "Grown Ups" extremely high. Most of the rest rated it very high. As is common with any silly movie type, there are a few who didn't care much for i,t but even their reviews aren't real low. I believe you will find "Grown Ups" to be a better movie than you probably expect.
