Flooded with romantic memories of their courtship, Dean and Cindy use one night to try and save their failing marriage.
Drama Romantic - This is a very dark and downbeat drama that is a major acting showcase
for stars Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams. Adult subject matter,
language, and sex make the film inappropriate for kids.
PROFANITY: Over 30 F-words, 13 S-words, 5 GD's, number of others. SEX/NUDITY: Sex iwit related nudity. VIOLENCE: A beating with some blood. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Alcohol and tobacco. ACTION: None. COMEDY: Some cute kid humor.
Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Very Good ...Blue Valentine deserves to be seen. The cumulative experience leaves an aftertaste that, although not bitter, is too strong to be easily washed away. That's the mark of a worthwhile motion picture.
Roger EbertFull Review Very Good "Blue Valentine" moves between past and present as if trying to remember what went wrong. From Dean's point of view, maybe nothing did.
