Animated Action - Like the first film, this is an animated martial arts action comedy
aimed at the entire family. Fans of the original should be more than
pleased. There are some sequences that may be too intense for very
young children.
Roger EbertFull Review Very Good What's best about this sequel is that it's not a dutiful retread of the original, but an ambitious extension.
USA TodayFull Review Good The Force clearly is with Kung Fu Panda 2. Or vice versa. Either way, this winning sequel to 2008's martial arts cartoon makes deft moves for a big-budget sequel — and is even warmly reminiscent of 1980's The Empire Strikes Back.
