Action Drama Sci-Fi - This is a reboot/revival of the '70s science fiction film series aimed primarily at a male audience. Fans of James Franco should be pleased. Some intense action scenes involving angry apes may be too much for young children.
OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Based on a theater exit polling of 111 moviegoers:
For this type of movie, these are GREAT REVIEWS! Better than half of all groups loved "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." A large portion of the remaining half rated it "Very Good," which equals above average and indicates a movie they enjoyed very much. As could be expected for this type of movie, there are a few low reviews. Usually these are the result of fans of this type of movie taking non fans to see it, who then rate it low.
