Action Thriller - This is a violent action film aimed at a young adult audience. This
is a showcase for star Mark Wahlberg and not so much his co-star Kate
Beckinsale. Frequent language and strong violence make the film too
intense for children.
Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Average It's a forgettable time-waster that will be seen more because of a lack of viable options at the multiplex than because it warrants an investment of anyone's time or money.
Roger EbertFull Review Average 'Contraband' involves a lot of energy, but I'm getting tired of violent retreads of these heist elements.
USA TodayFull Review Average Contraband has a few moments of tension, but it adheres to a predictable heist formula hardly worth trafficking in.
