Andrew, Matt and Steve have stumbled upon something beyond their - or anyone's - understanding. Their discovery leads them to acquire powerful telekinetic abilities; in graphic novel parlance, they have superpowers. Drama Horror Sci-Fi - This is a science fiction film told in the fake documentary "found
footage" format. There are no big stars here, and although the film
is low budget, there are a fair amount of elaborate special effects.
Violence and language make the film too intense for young children,
plus there is some objectionable behavior shown by teen characters.
PROFANITY: Over 30 S-words, 4 GD's, a number of others. SEX/NUDITY: Sex talk and glimpses of semen. VIOLENCE: Fights with super powers and blood. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Alcohol, including by teens. ACTION: Fights, often with super powers; flight. COMEDY: Physical gags, banter, suggestive humor.

Based on a theater exit polling of 117 moviegoers:
TEENS:GREAT REVIEWS! Both the males and females loved "Chronicle." Equally important is that no one disliked it. This makes your probability of enjoying it very high.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:The males especially enjoyed it with most loving it. About two-thirds of the ladies enjoyed "Chronicle," with half loving it. There were quite a few ladies who only rated it as good/average or below average.
ADULTS:These are good, but not quite great reviews. A little better than half the males enjoyed it very much as did three-quarters of the ladies. Unfortunately, a large percentage of the males only rated it as good/average, which is disappointing. A fairly small percentage of the females rated it lower than good/average, which is very disappointing.
