Notes:
Three seemingly anonymous high school seniors, Thomas, Costa and J.B., attempt to finally make a name for themselves. Their idea is innocent enough: let's throw a party that no one will forget, and have a camera there, to document history in the making… but nothing could prepare them for this party. Word spreads quickly as dreams are ruined, records are blemished and legends are born. "Project X" is a warning to parents and police everywhere.
.
Comedy - This is a very raunchy comedy told in the fake documentary "found
footage" format. The film centers around high school age characters
and its target audience is teens, but parents should be warned of its
non-stop language, drug, and sexual content. There are no name actors
whatsoever. Males are the target crowd.
PROFANITY: Well over 30 F-words; over 30 S-words; 1 GD; many others. SEX/NUDITY: Teen sex with nudity; nonsexual nudity; constant sex talk. VIOLENCE: Fights, electric shots, hits. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Very frequent alcohol and drug use, all by teens. ACTION: Fighting; fire; explosions. COMEDY: Nonstop sex and drug humor, physical and verbal.
USA TodayFull Review Poor It's billed as a comedy, but there's not a laugh to be had during the frenetic mayhem.
Washington PostFull Review Poor There are, by my count, only two good jokes in "Project X," a thin, painfully overlong comedy about an out-of-control party thrown by a trio of high-school losers.
NY PostFull Review Poor Dispatched straight from the id of a horny 15-year-old boy, "Project X" is a middle finger aimed at conventional moviemaking.

OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Moviegoer Opinions:
Based on a theater exit polling of 50 moviegoers:
TEENS:The target audience of teen males LOVED "PROJECT X." Two-thirds of the females also enjoyed it very much with most giving it very high reviews. As with any movie of this type, there are a few who didn't enjoy it.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:The three males and two females all loved it.
ADULTS:This is obviously not a movie targeted or designed for adults and only about half enjoyed it, at least to some degree.
