Notes:
Snow White is a princess in exile, and the evil Queen, ruthlessly rules her captured kingdom. Seven courageous rebel dwarfs join forces with Snow White as she fights to reclaim her birthright and win her Prince.
Adventure Comedy Drama - This is not a straight retelling of the Snow White story but a more
irreverent comedy version--though it is very much a family
entertainment. Julia Roberts fans will especially enjoy seeing her
not only back doing light comedy but also playing an evil character.
Females, especially young ones, are the target audience.
PROFANITY: None. SEX/NUDITY: None. VIOLENCE: Hits and falls, generally during swordfights. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: None. ACTION: Swordfights and chases. COMEDY: Silly wisecracks and banter, physical gags, sight gags.
Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Above Average Mirror Mirror isn't bad cinema, but it's only worth the price of admission as a way to distract a child - and there are better options for that.
Roger EbertFull Review Above Average 'Mirror Mirror' is a sumptuous fantasy for the eyes and a pinball game for the mind, as story elements collide and roll around bumping into each other.
USA TodayFull Review Good Mirror Mirror's spectacular production design, inventive costumes and sophisticated visual flair, paired with a sweet message of true love, make for a vividly enjoyable retelling.
