A rambunctious group of five college friends steal away for a weekend of debauchery in an isolated country cabin, only to be attacked by horrific supernatural creatures in a night of endless terror and bloodshed.
Horror Thriller - The commercials make this film look like a standard horror movie, but that is far from the case. While young adults are the target, there is a bit more going on in this film, a lot more humor and smart genre satire on top of the expected violence and blood. Language and sexual content also makes the film inappropriate for kids.

OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Based on a theater exit polling of 61 moviegoers:
TEENS:A little over half the males and two-thirds of the females loved "Cabin in the Woods." As with virtually every horror movie, there are some real high reviews and some low to very low reviews and this movie is no exception. Fortunately, the very low reviews are few. Most either loved it or rated it average to below average.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:Good, but not great, reviews from the guys. Two loved it, one rated it above average and one rated it average. The females nearly all loved it, which is a huge difference from what the adult females rated it. This tells me that older females aren't likely to enjoy "Cabin in the Woods."
ADULTS:Six of the eight guys enjoyed it very much, another one rated it average and one was disappointed and only rated it below average. The females didn't enjoy it. Since the twentysomething females rated it high, I will assume that older females are the ones who gave these low to very low reviews.
