Animated Action Adventure - This is an other all-ages-appropriate animated entertainment for the whole family from Pixar, and while there is indeed a feisty young princess at the center of the film as shown in the ads, the story takes a surprise turn halfway that will especially amuse children. There are some scary moments and images that may be intense for very young children.

OPINION OVERVIEW
The following is the original "What's Worth Watching" write-up for this movie.

Moviegoer Opinions:

Based on a theater exit polling of 141 moviegoers:
GREAT REVIEWS! Pixar does it again! This is another animated movie for the whole family. Virtually everyone loved "Brave." Just a small percentage rated it "Good/Average," which is not a bad review, but indicates an average movie. Chances are very high that you're going to LOVE "BRAVE."

D ETAILED S TORYLINE
Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald), a skilled archer and headstrong daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the unruly and uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric Witch (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to harness all of her skills and resources - including her clever and mischievous triplet brothers - to undo a beastly curse before it's too late, discovering the meaning of true bravery.
