Storyline Heading
Dodging speeding cars, crazed cabbies and eight million cranky pedestrians is all in a day's work for Wilee, the best of New York's agile and aggressive bicycle messengers. It takes a special breed to ride the fixie - super lightweight, single-gear bikes with no brakes and riders who are equal part skilled cyclists and nutcases who risk becoming a smear on the pavement every time they head into traffic. But a guy who's used to putting his life on the line is about to get more than even he is used to when his last envelope of the day - a routine "premium rush" run - turns into a life or death chase through the streets of Manhattan.

Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Action - This fast-paced action thriller is aimed at a young adult audience with its energetic style and young stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Dania Ramirez, but the presence of Michael Shannon as the villain give it some older appeal as well. While no graphic violence, there are some hard falls and dangerous bike riding that may be of caution to parents, and there is a fair amount of strong language despite the PG-13 rating.

Critic's Review Heading

Roger Ebert Full Review
Very Good ...this is an expert and spellbinding adventure. I'm very weary of routine chase movies. There's nothing routine about 'Premium Rush.'

USA Today Full Review
Good Despite far-fetched plot points — such as a flash mob of bike messengers ready to rumble and thwart evil — it's easy to get caught up in this life-or-death two-wheeled slalom.

Entertainment Weekly Full Review
Above Average It might not be a noteworthy film, but 'Premium Rush' delivers what it promises. The summertime diversion will give audiences a little jolt of nervous energy along with a few laughs.

OPINION OVERVIEW
The following is the original "What's Worth Watching" write-up for this movie.

Moviegoer Opinions:

Based on a theater exit polling of 22 moviegoers:
It was a bad weekend at the movies. We certainly expected a bigger turnout for this movie. From a few showing on opening weekend, we were only able to collect these 22 reviews.
TEENS:Both the males loved it. Two of the females loved it and the third one rated it average.
TWENTYSOMETHINGS:One male loved it and one rated it average. The lone female loved it.
ADULTS:Three of the males loved it but the other two rated it average to below average. That's somewhat disappointing. The ladies enjoyed it slightly more than the guys. Seven of the nine enjoyed it very much. Only a couple rated it below average.
