Notes:
A Naval veteran arrives home from war unsettled and uncertain of his future - until he is tantalized by The Cause and its charismatic leader.

Drama - This is a talky and slow-moving period drama which, like all of
writer-
director Paul Thomas Anderson's films, is for artier, more
experimental, independent
minded tastes. Fans of Joaquin Phoenix will enjoy this comeback
showcase, as will fans of Philip Seymour Hoffman. Of the main
actors,
Amy Adams has a much smaller role than the two men. Frequent
language, alcohol, and sexual references and content make the film
inappropriate for kids.

OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Moviegoer Opinions:
Based on a theater exit polling of 14 moviegoers:
Unfortunately, we weren't able to collect very many reviews for this movie. It just showed up out of the blue with no advance notice or promotion. We collected reviews at two showings and still only got 14 reviews. Hardly anyone went to see it.
When you see a movie like this just show up you should be leery of it, especially when it receives great reviews from critics, as this movie has. If it's so good why wasn't it heavily promoted?
Our reviews show that this isn't likely a movie the average moviegoer will enjoy very much. A few rated it high but most rated it average and poor.
