Storyline Heading
First-person immediacy, the action unfolds through footage from the handheld HD cameras of the young police officers Taylor and Zavala as they patrol the city's meanest streets of south central Los Angeles. Gang members, surveillance cameras, and citizens are caught in the line of fire to create a riveting portrait of the city's most dangerous corners and the cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay.

Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Crime Drama Mystery - Like writer/director David Ayer's other films, this is another gritty, violent, profanity-filled police story, but this has a lot more humor than expected. The top-billed stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena rule the show here, with other recognizable faces such as Anna Kendrick and America Ferrera having much smaller roles. The non-stop adult content makes this one to keep from the kids.
